Enoch Bolles
From the Weird Strange Archive
Enoch Bolles (1883–1976) was one of the earliest, most prolific, and most celebrated pioneers of American pin-up and glamour illustration.
He defined the visual signature of Film Fun, painting nearly every single cover for the magazine from 1922 through 1943. His style is characterized by whimsical, lighthearted glamour featuring athletic, carefree women in creative, themed costumes rather than distressed pulp heroines.
