Bizarre
From the Weird Strange Archive
Published in Cleveland, Ohio in January 1941 by Walter E. Marconette and Jack Chapman Miske, Bizarre was an ultra-obscure speculative fiction fanzine that achieved legendary cult status despite surviving for only a single issue. Whimsically numbered "Vol. 4, No. 1," the one-shot publication packed immense genre firepower into its 15¢ print run, featuring contributions from cosmic horror poet Clark Ashton Smith, Psycho author Robert Bloch, and an iconic, surrealist bio-organic monster cover by fantasy art pioneer Hannes Bok.
