Born Wayne Francis Woodard, Hannes Bok was one of the defining and most celebrated illustrators of early fantasy and weird fiction. Mentored early on by Maxfield Parrish, Bok developed a signature style characterized by luminous glazes, intricate linear anatomy, and an ethereal, Art Nouveau-influenced fantasy aesthetic.
