Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Weird Strange (“we”) collects when you use this site, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Orders: your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give it, and what you bought. Checkout runs on Shopify, which processes your payment; we never see your full card number.
• Your account: if you sign in, your email and order history, held by Shopify.
• Email sign-up: your email address and that you agreed to hear from us.
• Messages: whatever you send us when you email us.
• Browsing: pages and products viewed, items added to your cart, searches, and device, browser and approximate location information, collected through cookies and similar technologies (below).

How we use it

• To make, ship and support your orders, and handle returns.
• To send marketing emails if you signed up (every email has an unsubscribe link), and order emails such as a reminder about a checkout you didn’t finish.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To measure our advertising and show our ads to people likely to be interested.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information for money. We share it with:

• Shopify, which runs our store, checkout, accounts and email.
• Our fulfillment partners, who prepare and ship your order and receive your name and shipping address for that.
• Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Reddit. They receive browsing and purchase events, cookie identifiers and, once you’ve given it to us, a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, so they can measure our ads and show them to the right people. Under some US state laws this counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information; you can opt out at any time (below).
• Service providers that host and protect the site: Vercel (hosting) and Cloudflare (images and spam protection on our sign-up form).
• Authorities, when the law requires it, and a buyer of the business if it’s ever sold.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to keep your cart, remember choices (such as closing the email pop-up or opting out), note which ad or link brought you here, and run the analytics and advertising tags above:

• Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_*
• Meta Pixel: _fbp and _fbc
• Reddit Pixel: _rdt_uuid and _rdt_cid

Your browser’s settings can block or delete cookies, though the cart needs them to work.

Your choices

• Do Not Sell or Share: turn off sharing with our analytics and advertising partners on Your Privacy Choices. This applies to this browser; we also honor the opt-out on orders placed from it.
• Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us.
• Access, correction and deletion: email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have these rights by law. We won’t treat you differently for using them. We may need to confirm your identity first, and may keep order records the law requires us to keep.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Security

Payments are handled by Shopify’s PCI-compliant checkout, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who and what can reach your information.

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date below, and for a significant change we’ll say so on the site.
