Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of weirdstrange.com (the “site”), run by Weird Strange (“we”, “us”), and to anything you buy from it. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Orders and payment

Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify; we never see or store your full card details. Placing an order is an offer to buy, and a contract is formed when we confirm it by email. We may refuse or cancel an order (for example, a pricing error, suspected fraud, or an item we can no longer make), and if we do we’ll refund anything you paid. Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time, but a change never affects an order already confirmed. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Products

We try to show colors and artwork accurately, but screens vary, and small differences in color and placement between photos and the finished item are normal.

Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery is covered by our Shipping policy, and replacements, refunds and cancellations by our Returns policy. Both are part of these terms. Risk of loss passes to you when your order is delivered to the carrier, but we’ll still help with lost packages as the returns policy describes.

Our content

Our restorations, designs and layouts, product photos, text, the Weird Strange name and logo, and the archive’s writing and organization belong to us. You may not copy or reproduce them for commercial use without our written permission.

Using the site

Don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, scrape it in bulk, get into accounts or areas that aren’t yours, or use it for anything unlawful. If you create an account, keep your login to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under it.

Links to other sites

The site links to sites we don’t run (for example, sources cited in the archive). We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

The site and its content, including the archive’s historical information, are provided “as is”. We work to keep them accurate but don’t promise they’re free of errors or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to what you paid for that order. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Weird Strange is based, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version, which applies from then on; orders already placed keep the terms they were placed under.
